Thanksgiving Day Parade

I really love the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. My dad took me one year when I was about six years old! He said it was really crowded and I kept telling him I couldn't see anything! Hahah poor dad!
Since I wasn't able to make it out to the parade this year ( I had to babysit our turkey) I decided to make some drawings of the parade while watching it on TV. -Danielle

The Turkey Has Arrived

I love the day before Thanksgiving. The bird arrives and the side dishes are getting ready to be prepared!

I haven't had the pleasure of cooking a turkey yet but my mom told me a funny story about her first experience. She cooked it in the oven for about 8 hours and thought it was done! It was golden brown on the outside, smelled wonderful and then she went to carve it and it was frozen on the inside!!! YIKES! HAHA!! poor mom! -Danielle

Signs Of Christmas

Last week I walked around New York City and went to Rockefeller Center to see if the Christmas tree was up. When I arrived at Rockefeller Center  I thought the tree would be decorated but the workers were still in the process of putting it together. Scaffolding covered the Norwegian Tree and branches were still piled on the ground. I could smell the aroma of the tree and the scent of Christmas. -Danielle

Happy Halloween!

Yesterday was Halloween which is one of my favorite celebrations. We didn't have many trick or treaters but it was wonderful to be in NYC and see the people in costumes!-Danielle
