Gardens Of Versailles
Lately I've been going through my Paris drawings that I made when I visited last summer. While we were there we visited many places including Notre Dame, and Versailles.
I have to say that Versailles was intense! I don't know what it was about that place! Intense and beautiful at the same time. I spent most of the time outside in the garden area. What struck me the most were the pointy trees that looked like giant green fuzzy cones, which are very different from American gardens. The shape of the garden was also very different. It was more of a rectangle but very structured and extremely planned out.
Here are a few drawings I made of the garden in Versailles.
On another note if you happen to be in Paris in June my mentor and teacher, Veronica Lawlor is having an exhibit of her artwork. Please visit her blog for more information.- Danielle

Flowers For Mom
Happy Mother's Day! Today was a beautiful day to celebrate it. The weather was warm, the sun was shining and the flowers were blooming in every color possible. I sat outside this morning after having my morning coffee and I did a few drawings to start my day. The crayons were melting because of the heat but it made them even more enjoyable to draw with. Please enjoy my drawings and have a Happy Mother's Day! -Danielle

The Many Views Of The Eiffel Tower
Today I was going through a few of my drawings trying to figure out what I wanted to post on my blog. I came across drawings I made of the Eiffel Tower last summer in Paris. I remember the day I visited the tower I walked around the entire structure trying to figure out how it was pieced together while making some drawings. It was fun trying to figure out how many different points of view I could draw the tower from. -Danielle
